Start by checking out the network marketing industry watch
dog, Money Makers Monthly and try to find which
companies have been listed at least 3 times as company of the
month. MMM does fair and accurate job reporting on the network
marketing and multi-level marketing industry.
Stay away from companies with income claims of 10,000
or more a month in only 3 months. If it sounds to good to be
true, guess what? IT IS.
Once you think you have found the opportunity that you
can have faith in working, what do you do next? Most people
join and then freeze up at this point and think, "
I'll do it tomorrow or next week", or worse yet they'll spend
all their time with busy work, not really getting into
action and pretty soon they find its 6 months or a year
later and they are not any better off now then they where
when they started. Procrastination will kill your business and
your dreams.
If you've been doing your home work you should be
comfortable with your soon to be sponsor. Give them a call and
they'll walk you through the signup process. It's quick,
simple and painless.
Most if not all companies offer online signup through
the internet, of course youll need a few items to fill out the
forms because you are starting a real business.
You'll need your S.S# if you're a U.S. resident or Tax I.D if
your not. This maybe different if you're in another country
but your sponsor will know what you need. Ask them.
Some of the forms may ask for your business name that you
are going to be using. Most people are working from home so it
could be as simple as your name. You can apply for a DBA name
or "doing business as", name through your state usually for
about 50.00 and the form can usually be found at your
accountant or a Notary. This is generally a
good idea for tax purposes as is opening a business
checking account. Use the business checking account for all of
your transactions after signing up. Deposit into it the funds
you need for advertising, leads, website fees etc and pay
for them from this account. Also deposit your comission checks
into this account. Keep good records and it makes it easy to
take advantage of the great tax advantages available to small
home business owners.
Treat your business as a business not as a hobby.
Once you have joined a program, don't just sit back. You
have to get moving. You are now your own boss so push yourself
to work. It will pay off in the long run.
One of the most important things to remember as you get
started is that the purpose of this business is to build a
steady residual income and also to have fun
when doing it.
